The Importance of Hydration

Water makes about 70-80% of a person’s body. Every cell in your body requires water to be able to function properly and remain healthy. Not only does water quench our thirst but it also aids in carrying nutrients and oxygen around the body.

Water is constantly lost and therefore we need to replace the lost water otherwise it can lead to dehydration. 

 Water is lost through the below:

  • Urine
  • Sweat
  • Breathing (in the form of vapour)

Dehydration symptoms include:

  • Headache
  • Dried mouth
  • Dizziness
  • Fatigue
